NBC Universal Archives Internship
In the summer of 2013 I spent 12 weeks working at the NBC Universal Archives as part of the C2C (Campus to Careers) program. WHile there I worked in corporate and 3D object archives. My experiences with the 3D objects included props and wardrobe for various films and television shows spanning the past decade. I spent most of my time going through boxes from the show Eurkea preprocessing, processing and housing a selection of items, some of which will be going on display at the NBC Universal Experience attraction at the Universal Studios park located in Los Angeles. In addition I created custom housing, entered descriptive data and photographed the items from other properties including House, Heroes, Oblivion, and Caprica, and did the processing for an exhibit at the ArcLight Hollywood for The Worlds End. I had experiences with appraisal and acquisitions for the wardrobe for Smash, and aided in the acquisitions list for SyFy’s Warehouse 13. Many items are currently on display or will be on display in the future at the NBC Universal Experience and future PR events.
